1. How does Expense Mate work?
Expense Mate helps you track expenses and savings locally on your device. You can log transactions, categorize them, and view insights via graphs—all without cloud storage.
2. Is my data stored online or backed up?
No. Expense Mate stores all data only on your device. There is no cloud backup, and data never leaves your phone unless you export it manually.
3. Why does the app require a login?
The login system was implemented as part of a university project requirement. It does not link to an external server or collect personal data.
4. What happens if I log out?
Logging out permanently deletes all your expense data from the app.
5. Can I recover deleted data?
No. Since data is stored locally and deleted upon logout, recovery is impossible. We recommend manual backups if you need to preserve records.
6. Does Expense Mate share my data with third parties?
Never. The app does not transmit, sell, or share your data. Everything stays on your device.
7. How do I contact support?
Email us at support@expensemateapp.com for help. Note: As a university project, support may be limited.
8. Why is the app free? Are there hidden costs?
Expense Mate is completely free with no ads or subscriptions. It was created for educational purposes.
9. Will the app receive updates?
Updates depend on the project’s scope. Critical bugs may be addressed, but major feature additions are unlikely.

Go to Settings > Export Data to save a CSV file of your expenses/saving
